The Thinker Philosophy Roadshow

The Philosophy Roadshow is an engaging, interactive programme that brings philosophical enquiry into schools through thought-provoking workshops designed to inspire curiosity, confidence and meaningful dialogue. Using carefully selected stories, images, objects and real-world questions, pupils are encouraged to think critically, listen respectfully to others and explore different perspectives in a safe and inclusive environment. Every session is accessible to all learners and develops essential skills including communication, reasoning, creativity, collaboration and emotional literacy.

Alongside inspiring young people, the Roadshow supports teachers by modelling high-quality facilitation techniques that can be embedded into everyday classroom practice. The approach promotes pupil voice, builds confidence in discussing complex issues and contributes to a positive learning culture where every child feels heard, valued and able to participate. The workshops align with curriculum priorities while also supporting personal development, wellbeing and the development of lifelong thinking skills.

Notes

The Philosophy Roadshow can be tailored to meet the needs of individual schools, year groups and curriculum themes. Workshops are suitable for Key Stages 1–5 and can support curriculum enrichment, oracy, wellbeing, personal development, British Values, SMSC and the Whole School Approach to mental health. We are happy to work with schools to co-design sessions that reflect their priorities and can offer twilight CPD for staff to maximise the impact of the programme.
