The World Reimagined Learning Programme: free resources & bursaries
Start date: –
The World Reimagined is a national art education project featuring globally-recognised artists. It offers a free Learning Programme for 5-19 year olds to transform how we understand the Transatlantic Slave Trade and its impact on us all. Liverpool is a host city for this programme and the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority are funding a limited number of bursaries and artist residencies.
Please see the following offers and deadlines below:
- Free Learning Programme: sign up here via The World Reimagined Learning Globe Programme Registration Form – from October 2021 you will then be able to access free resources (for 5-19 year olds) to transform how we understand the Transatlantic Slave Trade and its impact on us all – closing date to register: 28 February 2022.
As part of this, students will be able to produce poetic, spoken word or written creative expressions, to be submitted by 6 July 2022 if you wish them to be shared.
- The Globe Programme: available at £850 + VAT per school – this will be able for FREE to schools in the Liverpool City Region who apply successfully for a bursary. There are bursaries available for one primary and one secondary within each Liverpool City Region borough. Please apply via the Globe Bursary application form – closing date to register: 31st October 2021; deadline to complete the Globes: 18 July 2022.
- Globe Programme Artist Residencies: two schools in the Liverpool City Region can also benefit from free artist residencies by applying via the Artist Residencies application form. Selected primary and secondary schools will participate in the Globe Programme, supported by an artist across two years, to embed arts-based learning and anti-racist practice into their teaching – closing date to register: 31 October 2021.
Globe Sculptures and Poems will be celebrated during August-October 2022 when the artist trails are live in each host city across the UK.
If you are unsuccessful in applying for a bursary, the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority will support you to seek funding for this.
