The Liver Bird

An interactive indoor/outdoor play aimed at families/children, that brings to life the urban fairytale of the Liverpool Liver Bird.  The play promotes heritage, an awareness of local history, and the importance of reading. It is a collaboration with an established children’s theatre company, The BookWorm Players. The piece has been performed in parks over the Summer in North Liverpool and Knowsley.

It is a 50-minute piece that uses puppetry, audience participation, and total theatre to engage the audience. There are post-performance workshops that explore the importance of imagination and encourages literacy amongst children. It is suitable for all ages, particularly  7 – 11 years of age.
