The Big Event – half term arts festival for young people aged 14-21

Date:

Time:

Do you know of any young people who’d like to take part in some free arts and cultural activity over half term? Young people who might not often or ever get the opportunity to try out new cultural and arts experiences?

If so, please get your group or individuals involved in this year’s BIG EVENT.

Who is it for? This four-day festival is for young people aged 14-21 who lack access to arts & culture
When is it? Monday 28th-Thursday 31st October, from 10am-4pm
What is it? It will mix art forms and styles to offer a rich opportunity for everyone with an option to achieve Bronze Art Award
Where is it? Unity Theatre, 1 Hope Place, Liverpool L1 9BG

There are very limited places, so we ask that group leaders please get together names ASAP and contact Lucy or Lou to confirm their spaces, as these will be given out on a first come first served basis:

Lucy Graham, Youth Projects Producer, 20 Stories High theatre company – lucy@20storieshigh.org.uk
Lou Flooks, Participation Manager, Unity Theatre – louflooks@unitytheatre.co.uk

The Big Event is funded by Liverpool Learning Partnership and The Sister Gwen Appleton Trust, and managed by Unity and 20 Stories High theatres – see flyer below for details.

As part of each organisation’s commitment, we will require a member of staff from each organisation to be present – to be on hand to support their young people to get the most out of the opportunity, assist them with accessing the opportunity, and to manage any safeguarding of their young people.

Any queries, please get in touch with Lucy/Lou.
