Reflections and Representations: Books For KS3

Liverpool Learning Partnership has secured funding in order to provide 30 LLP member secondary schools with book packs featuring texts written by Black authors and featuring Black characters.

We will provide each participating secondary school with a pack of (approximately 12-15) books suitable for pupils in KS3. We will also provide access to a CPD video for teachers/librarians about representation of diversity (particularly regarding Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic characters and authors) in literature as well as a booklet featuring resources to use in class and further reading booklists. These resources are designed to support staff in embedding these texts into their work in school and to support conversations arising from the use of the books.
