Make a Teeny Tiny Tale

In March 2021 Teeny Tiny Theatre piloted our ‘Make a Teeny Tiny Tale’ workshop live on YouTube for World Book Day. Three Liverpool primary schools and a number of families learning remotely tuned in to create a dramatic story with us. We are now offering this workshop to schools and early years settings either as an online live workshop or in person at your location.

This workshop is an exciting, active and creative experience for children in EYFS and KS1 to build a story using familiar storytelling conventions with the aim of inspiring creative writing and a love of reading. Our facilitator opens a magical story book and the children decide what happens next! With problem solving, opportunities to extend vocabulary and build an exciting narrative, ‘Make a Teeny Tiny Tale’ allows children to take ownership of a dramatic storytelling experience by using their imaginations to collaboratively create characters, locations and events. It can also be a fantastic springboard for incorporating SMSC with important discussions about wellbeing, respect and empathy through the characters we introduce.
