Growing Food and Communities Workshop with Sean Roy Parker & Rule of Threes

For young people in the age range of GCSE to Undergraduate level (ages 14-19), this creative workshop is aimed at people beginning to develop their creative routes.
Liverpool Biennial 2021, The Stomach and The Port, takes the curatorial approach of ‘The Stomach’ as the bodily organ through which we engage with and digest the world.
The workshop will unpack how this idea of The Stomach through perspectives of consuming and producing the world through community action, specifically around food, green space and agriculture.
Join artist and cook Sean Roy Parker and Rule of Threes to learn about growing, fermenting ideas and pickling in jars, as we explore the Biennial’s entry point: The Stomach. With support from Rule of Threes, National Food Service and Social Pickle.
The Workshop will:
- Be a creative exercise in doing, making or thinking that will teach the young people more about Rule of Threes and The Stomach and The Port.
- Create an opportunity for the attendees to develop either a skill, an idea, a process or even just time to think in a creative or contemporary way.
The overall session should leave the attendees with either some things to think about, to do, to question, to see and respond to in their personal creative journey.
