AltruDrama creative writing workshop – #LiverpoolWrites

AltruDrama has produced this film as a creative writing resource for teachers and their pupils aged 7-11, under the theme ‘Every idea is a good idea’.

This resource is an interactive film to support your class take part in a virtual session led by Barry and Kate from AltruDrama. The aim of the session is to get young people excited about writing and not to be daunted by a blank piece of paper. The session includes various activities which encourage children to write creatively, using persuasive and commanding language to make their feelings heard on a subject that is important to them. Their pieces of work can be silly, serious, passionate or funny.

The film is a resource for teachers and their children aged 7-11. We think the activities can be attempted by all children in Key Stage 2, but would expect varying results in terms of length and quality of writing across the key stage. The session lasts around 45-60 minutes and is adaptable to your school timetable with all instructions and resources given in the film and corresponding teacher pack.
